Ernie McCook is the Head Football Coach of the Shepherd Rams Football Team. McCook came to Shepherd University in 1997 were he started out as and assistant for the great Monte Cater. From there he worked his way up to the offensive coordinator. After Cater decided to retire this past year. He was the perfect candidate for the head coaching job, since becoming head coach of the program McCook has started out very solid leading the rams to a seven and three record the past 2017-2018 season. McCook’s energy and drive will only increase as he gets ready to lead his team into the PSAC where the program will face top tier competition and hope to rise to the occasion when their numbers are called this upcoming season.
Tye Hiatt is the offensive coordinator here at Shepherd University, he has over fifteen years of coaching experience. After a undefeated season at Frostburg State University Hiatt was offered the Offensive Coordinator position here at Shepherd University were his play calling led the rams offense to score 300+ points last season. Hiatt has been very engaged this offseason and is looking forward to playing fast in the rams new conference versus top tier opponent.
